Mireya Collazo Colón was born on the 7th of march of 1962, at San Juan, Puerto Rico.
She discovered her talent and passion for at the age of 24. Throughout her life she studied at the School of Plastic Art at Old San Juan. She studied with painter and teacher Miguel Martínez Geigel and professor, painter, writer and poet, Dr. Luis Germán Cajiga.
Her debut of her art exhibitions started on July of 2012, with an individual exhibition called "INTERMEZZO" at the art gallery of San Gerardo. In October of that same year, she had her 2nd individual exhibition titled “SENTIMIENTOS”, at the art gallery of the College of Engineers at Hato Rey. In April of 2013 she had her 3rd individual exhibition titled “PINTANDO ALTO”, at the art gallery of the State Election Commission of San Juan, PR. In June of 2014 she had her 4th individual exhibition titled “SUEÑO, VIVO Y PINTO… A TEMPO”, at the art gallery of the State Election Commission of San Juan, PR.
In March of 2015 she had her 5th individual exhibition titled “RECÍBELO”, at the art gallery of the State Election Commission. In December of that same year she had her 6th but first collective exhibition with “PROYECT ARCADIA MUSEUM” at the Four Point Sheraton Hotel at Caguas, PR. On February 4 of 2016, Mireya had her 7th individual exhibition titled “NOCTURNOS DE TU BOCA”, at the art gallery of the State Election Commission. On March of 2016, she had her 8th exhibition, collectively worked on, and given the titled of “CARIBEÑAS”, at the art gallery of the State Election Commission. In October of 2016, she had her 9th exhibition at the Ponce school specialized in fine arts, working together with the Fine Arts Association of Puerto Rico. In March of 2017, her 10th exposition was a woman’s collective titled “BRAVAS”, at the art gallery of the State Election Commission of San Juan.
On May 26 of 2017 she had her 11th exposition at the 4th “PONCE’S ART BIENNAL”. In June of 2017 her 12th individual exhibition titled “ANTILLANO… DEL NORTE AL SUR”, was on Ponce’s art gallery of Tibes. On January of 2018, Mireya had her 13th individual exhibition titled “ENCUENTRO”, with 40 original artworks including “Peace within the Storm”, being relative of the past hurricanes that have destroyed Puerto Rico that same year. In March of 2019, Mireya had her 14th exhibition, collectively worked on the “PONCE’S 5th MUNICIPAL BIENNAL”, where at the Mariana Suarez de Longo Library, she presented one of her biggest pieces she has made. An 8’x 6’ painting titled “GENESIS”.
On August of 2019 she unveiled her 15th individual exhibition titled “CARTAS Y CAFÉ CON AROMA DE MUJER” at the College of Engineers of Puerto Rico, with a total collection of 61 art works that were there from August of 2019 till January of 2020.
Mireya, inspired by God, her children, life, music, friendship; her beautiful caribbean island Puerto Rico, beauty, sorrow, tenderness, passion and love, lives creating sentiments that are dreamed and lived, shown in more than 340 artworks, shown to life itself.

Mireya Collazo Colón nació en San Juan, de Puerto Rico el 7 de marzo de 1962. Estudió Pedagogía en la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. Laboró 15 años en el Banco Popular de Puerto Rico.
Descubriendo su talento a los 24 años y comenzada esta pasión por el arte, cruzó su vida en la “Escuela de Artes Plásticas del Viejo San Juan. Estudió con el Maestro y Pintor Miguel Martínez Geigel. Y finalmente con el Profesor, Pintor, poeta y escritor, el Dr. Luis Germán Cajiga.
Desde el año 2012 exhibe su arte . En julio del mismo año tuvo su primera exposición individual a la que tituló, "INTERMEZZO". En la Galería de Arte de San Gerardo, en San Juan. En octubre de 2012 tuvo su segunda exposición, titulada, "SENTIMIENTOS". Se exhibieron las obras en la sala de Exhibiciones del Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Hato Rey. En abril del 2013 tuvo su tercera exposición de arte, a la que tituló: "PINTANDO ALTO". Expuso sus obras en la Sala de Arte de Comisión Estatal de Elecciones de San Juan, PR.
La cuarta exposición fue en junio de 2014, Titulada: "SUEÑO, VIVO Y PINTO... A TEMPO" en la Sala de Arte de Comisión Estatal de Elecciones de San Juan, PR. La quinta exposición en marzo de 2015, Titulada: "RECÍBELO", exhibiendo su trabajo durante cuatro meses en la Sala de Arte de Comisión Estatal de Elecciones de San Juan, PR. La sexta exposición fue en diciembre de 2015 con "PROYECTO DE ARCADIA MUSEUM", en el hotel Four Points Sheraton de Caguas, Puerto Rico, siendo la primera vez que participa en una exposición colectiva. La séptima exposición fue en febrero 4 de 2016, Titulada: "NOCTURNOS DE TU BOCA" en la Sala de Arte de la Comisión Estatal de Elecciones de San Juan. La octava Expo fue en marzo de 2016 exhibió en la colectiva "CARIBEÑAS" en la Comisión Estatal de Elecciones y en octubre de 2016 fue transferida la colección a la Escuela Especializada de Bellas Artes de Ponce con la Asociación de Artistas Plásticos de Puerto Rico. Para marzo de 2017 fue la novena Expo de Mireya participando nuevamente en una Colectiva de Mujeres llamada "BRAVAS" también en la Comisión Estatal de Elecciones de PR con la Asociación de Artistas de Puerto Rico. Su decima exposición fue a finales de mayo de 2017 donde fue invitada a participar en la “4ta BIENAL MUNICIPAL DE PONCE" en la Biblioteca Mariana Suarez de Longo”. El 2 de junio de 2017 hace su undécima exposición de Arte individual titulada “ANTILLANO… DEL NORTE AL SUR” en el histórico Centro Ceremonial Indígena de Tibes, en la Ciudad de Ponce, Puerto Rico estando allí una colección de treinta y siete obras de arte durante tres meses. El miércoles 24 de enero de 2018 es la duodécima exposición. Y la octava exposición individual titulada "ENCUENTRO", con 40 obras de arte original incluyendo "Paz en la Tormenta" relativo a los huracanes que destrozaron a Puerto Rico en el 2017. También se exhibió la pintura "Encuentro", tema de la exposición.
El viernes 22 de marzo de 2019 participará en su decimo tercera exposición, la colectiva de la "5ta BIENAL MUNICIPAL DE ARTE DE PONCE", en la Biblioteca Mariana Suarez de Longo, Puerto Rico, donde presentará su más grande obra. Pieza de 8' x 6' titulada "GÉNESIS".
En agosto de 2019 inauguró su exposición #15 “CARTAS Y CAFÉ CON AROMA DE MUJER” en el Colegio de Ingenieros de PR en Hato Rey con una colección de 61 obras de arte . Estuvieron las obras desde agosto 2019 hasta enero 2020.
Mireya, estimulada por Dios, sus hijos, la vida, la música y la Amistad. Puerto Rico y la belleza, el dolor, la danza, la ternura, la pasión y el amor; vive creando con color sentimientos soñados y vividos teniendo ya sobre 340 obras de arte expuestas a la vida.
